What was his Tipping Point joke?
Tyler Cowen's ultra brief review of Malcom Gladwell's Blink is the paradigm of pithiness. I really enjoy Gladwell's work for the New Yorker, so as soon as Blink is in paperback, I'll be reading it. Cowen quotes a brief excerpt and then makes the following comment, which I had to read over a couple of times to get the joke:That is one early passage from Malcolm Gladwell's new book Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking. So far I find the book intriguing but once I have read it I will offer a less accurate evaluation.
Blink is about how snap judgments are more accurate than deliberative reasoning in certain situations.
