Some sucessful Democracy promotion in Egypt. Mubarak agrees to an election with opponents, though he is extremely likely to win. As has been noted by people who are far more intense watchers of Egyptian events than I am, it seems that one of the causes of this decision was Condoleeza Rice calling off a trip to the region to protest the imprsionment of Ayman Nour, an opposition political leader. So, nice job, Bush administration.

Now please stop trying to destroy Social Security and renounce torture.
