Nonsense

The New York Times Editorial Board has sixteen members. At least ten of them joined the editorial board after 1995. Please explain, using any number of words you please, how the New York Times is being inconsistent by having said in 1995, "filibusters are bad," and saying today "filibusters are good." This is of course granting that the previous position isn't better characterized as, "Removing the filibuster in a way that follows Senate rules and doesn't involve lying about what the rules currently are would be a good idea," and the current positon as, "Removing the filibuster in a way that involves lying about what the rules currently are and making all Senate rules subject to majority whim is a bad idea."
