The breakdown of the 58-42 vote to confirm Alito. While I understand that there are, in principle, valid reasons to vote against someone while refusing to filibuster them, I don't accept that they apply here. Even if they do apply, a primary challenger could still be useful to force some of the Senators who didn't vote for the filibuster to explain how they came to that decision. A real post, which actually motivated me to blog again, will be up in seconds.
